Hi, I’m Colleen ‘the Irish one’.

After many years of working in public sector Mental Health, I decided it was time to focus on my passion and join the hunt for antiques permanently, scouring the country for unique pieces.

I love that each item has it’s own story, the lives they have touched, the memories they have made and the places they have been… their own twist of fate. I look for items that have worn in time, aged with beauty and have a telling patina. I buy what I love and much to my husbands delight many items don’t make it into the shop straight away.

I have recently taken over Fern Avenue Antique Centre in Jesmond, Newcastle, where you can find me most days. We have a host of independent antique concessions all under one roof, all with their own speciality and style. AND we’re dog friendly, so pop along and say hi.
